Kelley's Island..2004

I noticed while driving down Route 4 and 269 to Kelley's Island that Mother Nature had started to paint her Autumn landscape with a profussion of Yellows, Reds and Oranges.. Her way of signifying one last glorious weekend before the trees surrender their leaves to the Earth again, and winter raises it's frosty head.

I love Autumn, it's my favorite season.. Gaia's greens turn to her brightest colours, fall pumpkins, red cheeked children and the faint smell of the first fires lit in deep hearths.

I was excited and calm about this one last campout, full of hello's to new folks and a closing of sorts to the Tribe for the season.

As I was enjoying the crimson hues of the Sycamores, I thought that in my heart, this is all I need, this Autumn. Natures beauty to keep me happy. I guess we are all given the ingredients of simple happiness, mixing them into something delicious is left to us alone...

With that thought, it was onto Kelley's for the weekend...
