APRIL 14, 2004: WEDNESDAY!!

"Mr Dan"(firebird/Jeep guy), was my co-pilot for this adventure, he's not really sure about VW's or the quirky people I like to hang out with, But he does come adventuring with me and has been gracious enough to put up with my VW obsession for a few years now, so there's hope for him yet!!

We decided to leave Ohio on Wednesday, to allow enough time to get to NC and Meet/find Sunny's previous owners. etc.

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN !!

It was absolutely beautiful morning. Only 135 Miles from Beavercreek,Ohio to Pt.Pleasant, West Virgina. We figure on 2.5 hours driving with a good breeze behind us.

I blessed SunnyBus with a little Sage Grass. We said our goodbyes to the puppies & kitties.. Top up with gas at SunCo and headed out on Hwy35 East at 9ish, not to shabby.. We were lucky and had a mostly empty road all the way to the WVA state line and made good time.

We stopped for an early lunch at 11.30 by taking 62 North for a mile in Point Pleasant, WV. They filmed the *MothMan Prophecies * there.. so we figured if we got lost, we could claim something Phreaky happened. The place was pretty. It had some nice old buildings, one with a mural of an secret Tuscan garden painted on it.

We stopped in Mickee-D's and munched for 1/2 hour, everyone in there was in their 70's and 80's..hmmm, Maybe they never got to leave town??!! We decided to head out before we became fixtures too, lol..

No problem, just get back on to Hwy 64 heading for Charleston. Which bridge was it? The big one?!! Ok..

Which way to go..??!! Would we get stuck in Pt Pleasant? ..
