Camp Report !

It's a beautiful, quiet wooded campground about 6 miles from New Paris.

I drove SunnyBus while Kittie navigated, so naturally we got lost !! After almost went into Indiana, we did a quick turn onto 320 and found New Paris.. Got to camp about 1pm.

We set up SunnyBus under the shade trees then helped Traci and Miles set up the community area for camping.

We hung out the new OVT Camp sign, and we were ready for a great weekend!!

3pm:

The Tribe started to pull in.. John, Joel and Rick arrived.. Surprise !! Frank showed up just for the night ..oO(Like he would miss the fun!) Mel and Shelia, Eric and his puppy.. Dwayne, Nellie with their two cute kids.

A bright yellow bug showed up with more Tribers. We must have roused the curiousity of the Campground residents because Golfcarts started to flow past the Buses as they inspected the situation... lol.

The Sun settled into it's bed and we all gathered around the community firepit for hotdogs and roasted marshmallow/smores..

HINT: Dont let John drive the wheelbarrow while intoxicated!!

It's nice when everyone gets together instead of staying in little groups and John got the party started with songs and guitar music, Singing his rendition of

*Frank ! why do you drink??*

Frank built the fire up and we all kept warm, sang and drank, as it droppped into the upper 40's...

All in all a great first night..

I went to bed about 2.30am after catching up on all the news from the Tribe..

Day 2

Started off with a good, hot shower and I was ready to Cook everyone breakfast burritos..YUMMIE!!

The Tribe were coaxed out of their slumbers by the smell of sausage cooking on the grills. Rick and John made Coffee..Traci, Michele, Eric and I cooked..

Everyone fed!!.

They retired to the camp circle for a natter and a coffee while I did dishes...

Kittie and I took a walk about the campground, Beautiful rolling fields..lots of critters abounding, I saw several by the buckeye trees there. Took some pictures and then we headed back..

1pm: Time to get the chilli going!! I started cooking mine about 2ish, the other Tribers followed..

Soon the camp was full of chefs all using their secret recipies.. :)

Shelia made a veggie chilli (wuz super!!)

Traci made hers with Bacardi, bees & paper towels..lol..

John's was a chicken chilli, different but very tasty!!

Dwayne and Nellie were hidden on the other side of camp..secret ingredients!!

Michele had a good , thick beer- brew going

Rick had a spicyhot chilli..

Everyone's was unique and great. The judging was impartial, everyone got to vote on a 1st/2nd/3rd and they were given 10/5/3 points respectively. Kitty and Chuck did the tally..

Chilli results:
