Sunset at camp..

"But..It's only an hour down the road.."

Do you ever say to yourself.. "What was I thinking?!!"

That was what my mind was saying while I tried to coaxed my "2' 120lb "Puppies" into the bus.. .oO( Luckily I'd lost most of my common sence a few years ago, so now I have more fun, while loosing my mind in perculiar places..) I decided to get a little crazy with this campout, I brought two dating teens, two LARGE puppies and a Bus full of camping *nescessities*..aka junk with me.

SunnyBus was feeling the "extra" 500lbs and wouldnt go over 50 without lagging, but it was just an hour up the road to the Olive Branch CampGround and with the exception of the heavens letting loose on us for about 10 minutes, the weather was perfect. SunnyBus cruised into camp around 6ish and everyone in the Bus tumbled out.

I delegated out the chores. The teens pitched their tents, Mr Dan took the puppies for a well earned "stretch and greet" around the campsite and I unpacked SunnyBus and set her up for camping. With that accoumplished, it was feeding time for my ravionious herd ..

I don't know about you, but every time I camp, I break something. This time, it was the stove. It developed a pinprick leak on a rust spot from years of wash and wear. The fuel kept catching fire in the wrong places!! We couldn't use our stove without flames the size of a campfire shooting out..and I didn't want Frank to spot it for obvious reasons.. but, thanks to Joel for lending us his stove..(I owe him a two pack of propane, or a 6 pack of beer..your choice Joel ty again!!) The kids & dogs were fed 'N' happy. They settled down for a game of cards, while the puppies demolished a rawhide bone each that they recieved for their 2nd birthday the week before.

The sunset was beautiful against the passing storm clouds south of us..So I snapped a picture or two, then Mr Dan and I decided to go on a wander about the camp looking for fresh victims to interog.. I mean chat to about their buses.. There were lots of new faces, the old tribers were hiding upon seeing me approach with camera in hand.. but with the Super-douper-heavy duty-see you from a mile away zoom lense..there was no escape!! They would be recorded for Sunny's site!! We chatted with folks and caught up on news, laughed, shared bus stories, a little family history and fun. Before I knew it, midnight had descended.

(Where did time go??!!) "I'm old!! I'm going to bed.." I announced after finishing a "Newkee Brown" (Newcastle Brown Ale from the UK) donated for my consumption.. I thanked my hosts, Joel and Renee then I tottered off to slumberland..
